Our Nursery children have celebrated gardening week.
National Children’s Gardening Week was the brainwave of Neil Grant, BBC Radio Sheffield’s garden expert and co-presenter of their weekly garden phone in, and it’s widely supported by the whole of the UK garden industry.
The chidren’s ‘green fingers’ have planted pumpkin plants in our school allotment and we have harvested some runner beans.
At Moss Road, we are so lucky to have a local resident, Eddie, who tends ours allotment throughout the year.
The children are regularly watering the potatoes, sweetpeas and onions and look forward to tasting more of our produce this term.
